The first time I saw one of these little gems was at a local Collectors market held at the State Fair Grounds. It was in good condition but since I couldn't get the shutter to work (didn't know it had to have film in it!) and knew nothing about the value or quality (except what was obvious handling the camera) So at $35.00 I passed it up. But it made enough of an impression on me to get me to ask some of my IDCC discussion group friends about it. With there comments and recommendations I went looking on ebay for one to add to my little collection. I did some price research on ebay and found that I could afford a nice one with a little luck. A couple of weeks later a found four auctions for two near mint cameras and a couple of others for a Voigtlander rangefinder and hood/filter set also in near mint condition. I picked which of the two cameras to bid on and then had to bid on the accessories first this was a little nerve racking, buying the accessories first. I bid nice and high not wanting to lose. I won both of the accessory auctions (both from the same seller saved on shipping), then I bid as high as my overtime check would let me and I won!! As you can see from the photos this is a very nice camera in perfect working order. The shutter is smooth and accurate the lenses is clean and clear all functions work. The only flaws on the camera were a slight lifting of the leather along one edge since fixed. It came with a box (missing the cover on the top) and all it's original paper work and instruction book a big plus in my book. |
